Wow, it's been just over two weeks since last posting... but I have good news on that front. I'm back to the land of the living!!! As of 1:30 Tuesday after I finished all of my degree requirements and had received all of my grades for my undergrad degrees. Yes, Tuesday was the big 45 minute thesis presentation and then oral exam. And I have to say that I couldn't happier about how it went. There were so many people there supporting me, it meant so much. All of the faculty were there except 3. My boss and the desk man at the tutoring centre where I work (the latter of which knows nothing about stats) were there, an alumni friend came, quite a few students and my parents too. And the examining committee even took me and my parents out for lunch post talk/pre oral exam on the department which I thought was incredibly nice. You will also be happy to know that I managed to include a slide about sock knitting!
I knew I just had to incorporate knitting in somehow as I'm so well known for it in my department.
In swappy news I received me package from my Ravelry College Swap pal ravelrayah.
Notice the cute knitted top she made for the bear?
And as she's received her package, this also means that I can share with you the knitted garment I made her, a calorimetry from Knitty:
I unfortunately fell into the ongoing plague of huge calorimetries so I attached a second button to the other end so that it could be adjusted from both sides. And I think it's still super cute. If only I had one for myself now :(
Having had 2 days off so far, the knitting has picked up full swing but I shall perhaps leave that for another post as I can't give everything away at once when I need to start posting more often now can I?
